Apache Corporation is Hiring an Accounting Coordinator Associate - Accounts Payable Near Houston, TX
Specific ResponsibilitiesThe Accounting Coordinator Associate for Apache Corporation will be a member of Apache’s Shared Accounting Services team at the company’s Houston, TX office reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager. The Accounting Coordinator Associate will perform routine tasks, focused on accounts payable, expense reporting and joint interest billing collections responsibilities, assisting with associated internal reporting and communicating with vendors and owners regarding payments and inquiries. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Perform routine accounts payable tasks related to Apache vendors and collections tasks related to Apache joint interest owners.
Handle routine responses related to accounts payable vendor inquiries, internal accounts payable inquiries and joint interest billing owner inquiries
Review employee expense reports for proper support and documentation for reimbursements
Review employee corporate credit card reports for proper support and reasonableness
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Review and process scanned invoices not posted to Ariba
Review and address Ariba invoices not posted to SAP
Enter manual invoices into SAP
Apply joint interest billing cash received and prepare joint interest billing refund requests.
Work with teammates to interact with Accounting, Treasury and Supply Chain, as well as other groups internal to Apache, to problem solve, as needed.
Contribute on team projects and ad hoc management requests.

Qualifications & ExperienceThe successful candidate will have the following qualifications and experience: Education
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred.
Experience
0 - 1 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
System experience with SAP Ariba, Concur or Symbeo are a plus.
Certifications
Relevant coursework or certifications in bookkeeping, accounting software or basic accounting principles advantageous.
