Job SummaryThe Human Resources Generalist works closely with the Operations Team to implement Human Resources programs, policies, and practices that support specific goals and objectives of the company, while ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are maintained. The Human Resources Generalist partners with plant operations to ensure effective administration of all human resource related activities.
Essential Job Functions
- Interact effectively, professionally and with diplomacy in all areas of employee relations.
- Always project a professional image and exercise the highest degree of confidentiality.
- Timekeeping, payroll and benefits administration.
- Assist employees with the interpretation and correct application of company policies, procedures, and programs.
- Process and maintain employment verification.
- Assist with employee investigations and employee relations.
- Maintain proper documentation, files, and records.
- Serve as Recruiting back-up.
- Assist with the coordination of all company sponsored events and community events.
- Oversee the accurate processing of forms and documents related to hiring, employee benefits, change of status, and termination of employees such as state agency questionnaires and unemployment appeal hearing documentation.
- Perform other duties as business needs require.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS’s (ADP preferred).
- Demonstrated knowledge of human resource activities in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment.
- Pass pre and post drug screen and meet acceptable criminal background requirements.
- Demonstrated attitude of safety as a top priority.
- Positive attitude, self-disciplined and self-motivated.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance; must be willing to work overtime.
- Comply with company processes and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to work with privileged information and handling with the utmost confidentiality.
- Ability to work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors.
- Bilingual (Spanish).
