Apex K Home Care Inc. is Hiring an ABA Behavior Technician Near Worcester, MA

AKABA LLC. welcomes reliable and enthusiastic professionals to join us as part-time ABA Therapists or Behavior Technicians!

Would you like to learn how to support individuals with disabilities through practical, science-based strategies?

ABA therapists (or Behavior Technicians) provide 1-to-1 ABA services in the home, center, and community settings to children and young adults diagnosed with Autism (ASD).

Experiences as a Paraprofessional, Assistant Teacher, Rehabilitative Assistant, Educational Associate, and/or Direct Support Professionals is highly applicable to this role. Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour (with opportunity to increase by $1-$3 in first 3-6 months)

Travel Time Pay

Mileage reimbursement beyond home travel radius

Qualifications for the ABA Tech include:

  • Friendly and energetic, enjoy working with individuals diagnosed with disabilities
  • Has reliable transportation- meaning your own/family vehicle that is currently registered and available to your throughout the sessions - some clients require transport for certain services.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities ( preferably Autism)
  • Ability to attend an initial orientation
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week ( after school hours between 3-8 p.m. )
  • Must be timely and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations

Responsibilities: The ABA Tech will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and will be directly responsible for:

  • Electronic Data collection
  • Implementing individualized behavior support plans
  • Implementing skill acquisition programs
  • Working with families for effective collaboration on client
  • Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Attending monthly case review meetings with their direct supervisor

Job Location: Metro Worcester Area

Required education for an ABA Tech:

  • High school or equivalent

Required license or certification:

  • Drivers License

Required experience:

  • Working with Kids or Teens: minimum 6 months
