Apex K Home Care Inc. is Hiring a Behavior Technician Part Time Near Worcester, MA

AKABA welcomes passionate professionals to join us as Behavior Technicians (ABA Therapists) and become key members of our team!

Under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts, this role provides 1-to-1 Applied Behavioral Analysis services to children diagnosed with Autism (ASD) in their homes, community programs, and at the AKABA Center. 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 (to start) per hour with $1-$2 increases in the first 6 months.

Experiences as a Paraprofessional, Assistant Teacher, Rehabilitative Assistant, Educational Associate, and/or Direct Support Professionals are highly applicable to this role!

About Us

At AKABA, we primarily use ABA as therapy for children with autism to ultimately improve their quality of life and the quality of life of the whole family. AKABA uses an individualized, scientifically-validated, behavioral approach to helping individuals develop and build on their personal, academic, and social skills.

Qualifications for the ABA Tech include:

  • Friendly and energetic, enjoy working with individuals diagnosed with disabilities
  • Has reliable transportation- meaning your own/family vehicle that is currently registered and available to your throughout the sessions as some clients require transport for certain services.
  • Experience working with children diagnosed with developmental disabilities ( preferably Autism)
  • Ability to attend an initial orientation
  • Ability to work a minimum of 10-15 hours per week ( after school hours between 3pm-8 p.m.)
  • Must be timely and organized
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively within a variety of situations

Responsibilities: The ABA Tech will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and will be directly responsible for:

  • Electronic Data collection
  • Implementing individualized behavior support plans
  • Implementing skill acquisition programs
  • Working with families for effective collaboration on client
  • Submitting all required paperwork in a timely manner
  • Attending monthly case review meetings with their direct supervisor

Required education for an ABA Tech:

  • High school or equivalent

Required license or certification:

  • Drivers License

Job Location: Metro Worcester Area

Required experience for an ABA Tech:

  • Working with Kids or Teens: minimum 6 months
