Construction ManagerLocation: Atlanta, GA 30363 / Onsite
Length: 12 months Contract
Payrate Range: $58 - $64 (depending on experience)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30AM - 4:30PM
Job Description
  • Acts as assistant to the Program Manager. Responsible for the delivery of the project and or phase and will be supported by a site-based team during the construction, fit-out and commissioning and handover phases of the project.
  • Responsible for project meeting cadence and communication, project status reporting, manages and monitors all processes supporting project delivery.
  • Monitors & refines the long-range and short-term plans to ensure success on the construction project.
  • Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities in the field, manages and coordinates the flow of information, control costs, manage and control the schedule, implement, and monitor the safety programs, and verify that the completed work is constructed to a quality level consistent with the requirements of the construction documents.
Responsibilities:
  • Attends and advises during scheduled owner/architect/contractor and other project meetings. Coordinates meetings and activities of vendors and cost managers and attends scheduled owner/architect/contractor and other project meetings.
  • Provides specific project data supporting cost and key performance indicator (KPI) metrics, invoices, process, and policies in order to communicate status to client partners. Reports on project progress regarding scope, schedule, standards, and budget.
  • Confirms the scoped resources (e.g., people, materials, equipment) are available for the job. Partners with senior construction staff to procure additional materials as needed.
  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with implementation partners, Operations, Security, Authorities having jurisdiction, and leadership.
  • Provide oversight and communication with onsite contractors and vendors.
  • Represents as a safety leader and advocate onsite ensuring adherence to safety.
  • standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, or equivalent) to ensure compliance and aggressive management of risk. Conducts routine safety program, project, and contractor audits, and performs and participates in incident investigations.
  • Reviews engineering documentation/designs, site, and building plans by examining and analyzing technical information.
  • Monitors the approved project budget and provides oversight for project controls (e.g., Project Expenditure Request (PERs), Professional Services Request (PSRs), Change Orders, Pay Applications, etc.).
  • Performs field observations.
  • Understands site work, civil work and underground utilities.

  • Exceptional stakeholder identification, engagement, and ongoing management to drive clarity on roles, alignment on desired outcomes and agreement on the specific plan and next steps to get there.

  • Tenacity and an unwavering drive toward action & results in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction project management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years
  • OSHA 10 Hour
  • Understands how to read drawings and interpret building codes.
  • Hours are 6:30 to 4:30
  • Some weekend work may be required depending on vendor/ contractor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Licensed or Registered Architectural/ Engineering Professional
  • Experience with Hyperscale Data Center Builds
  • 15 years of experience
  • OSHA 30 Hour
  • Experience with Six Sigma, LEAN Processed, Kaizen, Total Quality Management
