Data Quality/Governance Analyst

Large Banking Client

Duration: 12 months - potential to extend up to 18 and/or convert FTE

Location: Richmond, VA (3 days onsite, 2 Remote)

Must have Requirements:

• 5 years of Data Analysis experience for controls and data quality
• Banking Industry or Financial services knowledge regarding regulatory and governance roles
• Reporting Experience - Tableau Dashboards preferred.
• Metadata Experience.
• Spreadsheet skills, MS Access, MS Excel, Visual Basic for MS PowerPoint, SharePoint

Desired Skills:

• Experience with EDM and/or GRM Policy and Standards

Job Description/Details:

• Clear experience and understanding of governance, risk, regulatory/audit, policies, compliance, controls, metrics, dashboards
• Understanding of the WHY behind data.. how data applies to a standard or policy, be able to look at data and produce reports around areas that have problem with compliance, any problems they’re seeing or areas that need course of action, etc.
• Strong reporting experience
• Metadata
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint – putting together decks/presentations
• Bank experience
• Candidates absolutely must have strong communication and enough experience to work independently without needing a lot of direction
• The team is still writing a lot of playbooks, so there is grey areas. These candidates must be able to independently set up and lead calls with a variety of stakeholders and other teams that might not even know who they are in order to gather information by asking questions and having conversations to pass along notes back to their leads (reports).
• High preference for candidates with Tableau expertise – ultimately need someone who can take data sets to generate dashboards/weekly reporting that can be automated (right now it’s all manual and not efficient)
• Risk Data Aggregation project work
