Apex Systems has an immediate opening for an SEO Specialist with a client in Gulfport MS. Our client is looking for someone to join their marketing team, with an expertise in Search Engine Optimization to help drive organic growth for the company across all digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SEO and content strategy with the ability

to analyze and manage project workflow.

Location: Gulfport, MS

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive keyword research to identify opportunities for organic growth within the industry
• Develop and implement effective on-page SEO strategies, including optimizing website content, meta tags, and
• internal linking structures.
• Perform technical SEO audits to identify and resolve issues that could impact website performance and rankings.
• Perform keyword research to identify high-value target keywords and phrases.
• Monitor and analyze SEO performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
• Stay updated on SEO best practices, algorithm updates, and industry trends to ensure our strategies remain effective and compliant.
• Collaborate with content creators to optimize blog posts, landing pages, and other digital assets for search engines.
• Work closely with marketing, digital, and our content team to drive traffic generating initiatives across the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
• 5 years of experience in Search Engine Optimization roles
• In-depth knowledge of SEO tools and techniques (e.g., SiteImprove)
• Great at keyword research and discovering new opportunities to drive traffic
• Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., HubSpot) as well as leading edge tools and website platforms
• Experience with website analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics)
• Experience with local SEO strategies and multi-location businesses
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to inform strategy and measure performance
• Able to keep ahead of the latest search industry trends and algorithm changes and align current and future projects with those developments
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
• Preferred: Additional experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Swiftype, RIO SEO.
