Location: Santa Fe, NM-87505Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm /Days - Mon to Fri - 35hrs/week
Pay Rate: $39/hr on w2Duration: 13 weeks-Contract
Job SummaryThe Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) assists the Occupational Therapist in providing therapeutic services to patients with physical, emotional, or developmental impairments. The COTA helps patients improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments.
Patient Assessment And TreatmentAssist in the assessment of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
Implement treatment plans designed by the Occupational Therapist.
Help patients perform exercises and activities as part of their therapy program.
Monitor and document patients’ progress and report findings to the Occupational Therapist.
Adjust treatment techniques based on patient response and feedback from the occupational Therapist.
QualificationsAssociate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Valid state licensure as a COTA.
CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
