The Role Apollo is seeking a Direct Lending Loan Closer to join their growing Credit platform. The Analyst or Associate (depending on experience) will primarily focus on managing the execution of direct lending deal closings as well as other closings as-needed. Primary Responsibilities Coordinate loan closing process, including the collection of all required agreements, ensuring completion of all KYC/AML checks, manage initial funding mechanics with operations teams Coordinate sign-off from internal Legal, Tax & Compliance teams to ensure that deals are suitable for funds, etc. Ensure fund allocations are collected for purposes of external and internal parties Build and take full ownership in building Flow of Funds, including (but not limited to) coordination with client stakeholders, deal team, counsel etc. Work and coordinate closing process with counsel, admin agent and internal legal to drive a successful execution Track and update deal closing pipeline by ensuring efficient communication with product specialist, Origination Team, Underwriting Team, and relevant Credit stakeholders Review and interpret legal agreements to ensure operational requirements and terms are properly outlined and adhere to Apollo policies; raise documentation and any approval issues to appropriate stakeholders Ensure compliance with internal polices and ensure stakeholders complete deliverables to facilitate a successful closing Qualifications & Experience 2-5 years of relevant experience in a loan closing/servicing role or similar front office operational function within an investment bank Experience supporting front office/deal teams is a requirement, direct lending experience is a plus Proficiency in reading and interpreting loan documentation Thorough understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements (including but not limited to) KYC and AML Strong interpersonal skills with experience effectively communicating across various functions and levels Exceptional problem-solving skills and experience prioritizing the resolution of time-sensitive issues with both internal and external stakeholders Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and prioritize multiple simultaneous tasks High attention to detail Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to be resourceful Ability to thrive both independently and in a team setting About Apollo Our Purpose & Core Values Our clients rely on our investment acumen to help secure their future. Pay Range $115,000-200,000 The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
