Medical Supply Clerk

Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton is looking for a full-time Medical Supply Clerk!

Summary:

Works closely with Nursing Administration to assist in providing necessary supplies and care to the residents in support of the philosophy of Apostolic Christian Restmor, and pursuant to the goals, objectives, and policies set forth by the administration.

Essential Duties:

• Assists with the ordering and distribution of medical supplies
• Assists with cleaning and filling of various medical equipment
• Assists with maintaining various lists of resident equipment and checking expiration dates on various products.
• Assists with direct care of residents by distributing fresh drinking water and extra nourishments
• Assists with the sterilizing of resident rooms when needed
• Assists with feeding if properly trained
• Assists with maintaining order and cleanliness of resident rooms and service areas
• Routinely cleans wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, utensils, bedside rails and other equipment and furniture as needed
• Reports broken or otherwise unsafe equipment or furniture
• Keeps linen closets on wings organized
• Cleans residents’ closets
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions
• Ability to see, hear and speak
• Positive attitude and caring approach required
• Must be available to work shifts beginning in the mornings 4-5 weekdays as well as a weekend and holiday rotation.

Physical Demands:

Walking and standing most of the day is required. Frequent stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling. Occasionally required to sit, use hands/fingers. Routinely required to lift and/or move up to 50lbs. Some exposure to potentially hazardous equipment, chemicals and infectious waste.
