Product Manager

As a Product Manager at Applause, you will play a pivotal role in scoping, overseeing development, and driving the release of our products. Your primary focus will be working with a cross-functional team to ensure successful releases and product adoption. With a strong passion for teamwork and a focus on delivering impactful results, you will collaborate closely with Engineering, business teams, and other stakeholders to shape and deliver our product offerings.

What You’ll Do 

  • Lead the scoping process for product development, working closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, features, designs, and specifications.
  • Oversee the development lifecycle, working in tandem with Engineering and business teams to ensure timely and high-quality product releases in an agile environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including Engineering, QA, and business teams, to address technical and design challenges, ensuring successful product delivery.
  • Drive the adoption of released products, working with cross-functional teams to develop and execute adoption strategies.
  • Collect and analyze user feedback, market insights, and data to identify areas for product improvement and enhancement.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA and business teams to prioritize and manage product backlogs and bug triage, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  • Work closely with internal teams, such as Customer Operations and Community Management, to gather insights and ensure product success.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and understanding of product requirements and feature solutions.
  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy and identify opportunities for innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Customer Operations and Community Management team to ensure smooth implementation and user satisfaction, including presentations on new releases.

What We Require

  • 3 years of experience in product management or a related role, with a track record of successfully scoping, overseeing development, and driving the release of products.
  • Experience with creating mockups and designs based on user experience best practices as well as experience with writing testing requirements.
  • Strong cross-function al leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively and empathically with internal and external users, cross-functional teams and drive collaboration.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results within designated timelines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, able to independently pick up a project with limited instructions and passion for teamwork, delivering exceptional results and driving product adoption.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
