Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Direct, train, and evaluate accounts payable and job cost data entry staff.
Oversee office administration and front desk coverage.
Accounts Payable Function:
Manage an electronic invoice routing/approval system, including user administration, workflow creation, and staff assignments.
Process disbursements according to established accounting practices and company policies.
Oversee the 1099 designation and filing process.
Manage bank account funding for manual checks.
Ensure staff is handling inquiries from internal and external sources.
Manage vendor relations and ensure compliance with company policies.
Lead credit card receipt policy and accounts payable process.
Maximize vendor term discounts and manage open items for accuracy.
Handle escheat filing and remittance annually.
Review retainage for monthly release.
Accounting Responsibilities:
Participate in month-end reconciliation and resolve any discrepancies.
Assist with other accounting projects as needed.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Assist with accounting department filing and file storage.
Oversee other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
Minimum 3 Years Of Accounts Payable Experience.Supervisory experience a plus.
Experience With 1099 Filing Preferred.Knowledge of sales and use tax preferred.
Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage 300CRE / Timberline) preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
