AppleOne Employment Services is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Chesapeake, VA
On site position
Mon-Fri - 40 hour work week
Pay: $22-25/hour depending on experience
Key details:
- organized, professional and having prior dedicated a/p experience, having worked in an erp system
- a/p journal entries, journal reconciliation and relaying a/p journal info to general ledger
- strong communication skills, detail orientation, about to build working relationships with vendor network to work through issues as they happen.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable person to join our team. This position will be responsible for A/P, reconciling and verify invoices, paying company bills as well as generation and reporting of accurate financial information.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Operate the accounting software and ERP program (pro alpha) and spreadsheets, data exports and reports
- Input of accounts payable invoices, expense reports, credit card payments
- Accounts payable chge distribution
- General Ledger/Accounts Payable
- Monthly Statements, Credit Cards, Expense Report
- Supporting month end P/L and balance sheet generation
- Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
- Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
- Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
- Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
- Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
- Several years of accounting experience; preferable in a manufacturing company
- Basic understanding of an entity’s work flow and its influence on accounting
- Excellent skills in Windows, spreadsheets, Accounting Software, ERP/ integrated manufacturing software (SAP, etc.)
- Good communication skills (verbal, written)
