Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial analysis, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. As a Senior Accounting Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data, providing insightful analysis, and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conduct variance analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on financial data.
General Accounting:
- Oversee general ledger activities and ensure accurate and timely closing processes.
- Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
Compliance and Controls:
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain and enhance internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
- Participate in system upgrades and implementations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
