Desirable candidate would be someone who is looking for a long term career with a full service CPA firm. We are seeking to hire a high level tax accountant with 3 plus years of experience interested in continuing to develop skills in all tax areas including compliance, planning, research, and advisory services. Our firm provides personalized accounting services to small and medium sized businesses. This person will wear multiple hats and will need to include a positive attitude, self learner, outstanding work ethic and an enthusiasm to take new tasks. The candidate must be patient, cheerful, self motivated, well organized and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines as a team player.
Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, nonprofits, partnerships and trusts
• Tax research experience
• Communicate with IRS, FTB, etc and other regulatory agencies
• Compute quarterly estimates and other computations, including salary projections
• Communicate directly with clients

Job Requirements

• CPA or EA license (preferred)
• Proficient computer skills (CCH Axcess, BNA and other accounting software)
• Working knowledge with QuickBooks
• High level Excel skills
• Work overtime during both spring and fall busy seasons
• Attention to detail and good judgment
• Exceptional communication skills, written and spoken
• Problem solving skills
• Organized/Good Time Management skills
• Team Player and ability to work independently
