Job Title : Accounts Payable Clerk

Location : Escondido, CA (ONSITE)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join a construction company in North County San Diego.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience with SAGE 100, Procure, or other accounting systems and will be responsible for managing our accounts payable processes, including reviewing and posting bills, reconciling statements, and performing bill reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and Posting of Bills : Accurately review, verify, and post bills into SAGE 100.

Bill Reconciliations : Conduct and manage up to five bill reconciliations to ensure all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.

Statement Reviews : Review vendor statements regularly to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are addressed promptly.

Invoice Management : Process invoices, match purchase orders to invoices, and resolve any discrepancies.

Vendor Relations : Maintain strong relationships with vendors, handle inquiries, and resolve payment issues.

Data Entry and Record Keeping : Ensure accurate data entry and maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.

Compliance : Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable financial regulations and standards.

Reporting : Prepare and maintain reports related to accounts payable as needed by management.

Qualifications :

Experience working with SAGE 100, Procure or accounting systems is essential.

Education : High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

Preferred :

Previous experience in the construction industry or a similar field.

Familiarity with other accounting software systems.
