Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage the financial transactions of our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. Additionally, they will be tasked with managing accounts receivable, including invoicing clients, posting payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable transactions, including reviewing and coding invoices, obtaining approvals, and preparing payments.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.
Generate and distribute invoices to clients in a timely manner.
Post customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
Follow up on overdue accounts receivable and communicate with clients regarding payment status.
Prepare and maintain financial reports related to accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Collaborate with other members of the finance team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable roles - ideally in a commercial setting
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
