Job Title : Payroll Specialist

Job Summary :

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing payroll accurately and timely for our organization. This role ensures compliance with all payroll regulations and resolves any payroll discrepancies in a timely manner.

The Payroll Specialist also assists employees with payroll-related inquiries.

Responsibilities :

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for employees accurately and on time.
• Calculate wages, deductions, commissions, and taxes using payroll software.
• Ensure payroll transactions comply with company policies and regulations.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed (e.g., earnings, taxes, deductions, leave).
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues promptly.
• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters and provide assistance as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for payroll transactions.
• Stay updated on payroll regulations and best practices.
• Assist with payroll audits and compliance reviews as necessary.
• Collaborate with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee data and payroll information.

Requirements :

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office, especially Excel.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation or similar certification.
• Experience with ADP, Paychex, or other payroll processing systems.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and compensation practices.
