Internship Overview: As a Project Engineer Intern, you will collaborate closely with our Project Manager, assisting in various project tasks and gaining invaluable insights into the construction industry. Internship Overview:
• Support Project Manager in organizing and documenting OAC meetings, facilitating smooth communication between stakeholders.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, owners, and field personnel to ensure project alignment and progress.
• Assist in preparing bid packages, managing procurement processes, and analyzing bids for optimal project outcomes.
• Gain exposure to budget management, constructability reviews, and permit processing, enhancing your financial acumen.
• Contribute to quality control efforts by monitoring metrics, preparing reports, and addressing issues proactively.
• Learn about change order management, contract documentation, and project closeout procedures.
• Update construction schedules based on team input, contractor progress, and material deliveries, honing your project management skills.
• Attend project meetings, record minutes, and actively participate in project status reporting.
Skills Preferred: We welcome students with a passion for construction and a desire to learn. While experience in multi-family construction is a plus, we value candidates:
• Pursuing or who are recently graduated from a degree program in construction management, construction science, engineering, or architecture.
• Who demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• With a proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and a willingness to learn project management software.
• Who demonstrate analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Who exhibit adaptability, initiative, and a proactive approach to tasks.
• Skilled in the use of Sage Timberline Estimating and all other project related components of the Sage Construction 300 software.
Qualifications: To excel in this role, you should demonstrate:
• A strong foundation in construction principles and project management concepts.
• The ability to anticipate and resolve challenges, contributing to project success.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and a willingness to learn new software tools.
