The Project Manager is primarily responsible for purchasing goods and services, overseeing procurement of high value assets, managing contracting activities, sourcing small construction projects, preparing bids and proposals, and supporting acquisitions requests. The position supports the education programs, fire and police, environmental, public works and land use activities. Preferred 3 years technical purchasing experience and training, which would include day-to-day requisition processing in securing Requests for Qualifications/Purchases RFQ’s/RFP’s).
EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
• Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) knowledge and experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, analytical and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.
• Experience in modern office practices and procedures, including Excel and MS Office.
• Basic business mathematics. terminology related to pricing, shipping and invoicing, contracting, pricing and price analysis.
• Methods and procedures used in the preparation and presentation of written and oral reports relating to bids and contracts.
• Fundamental methods and practices of purchasing/materials management.
• Collaborative mindset, team player.
• Demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving in thought and deeds.
