General Description of the Job

Helps the Lead Teacher and other Assistants manage a classroom for a group of up to students.

Executes a variety of activities that will ensure the health and safety of the group.

Reports to the Lead Teacher, Assistant Director, or Director.

Specific Duties of the Job

• Help plan appropriate lessons that align with Appleridge curriculum standards
• Help to plan and execute daily activities for children.

o Activities follow Appleridge Academy standards

• Regulate mealtimes
• Follow diapering and potty-training guidelines
• Write and Talk to parents everyday about child progress
• Give guided classroom tours to new enrolling parents
• Clean and Organize classroom everyday
• Help the Lead Teacher write a one-page report on classroom progress once a month
• Enforce classroom structure that the lead teachers communicates
• Work collaboratively with Lead and other Assistant Teachers
• Understand KDHE and Appleridge Academy policies and guidelines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
