The Account Manager responsibilities include developing strong relationships with customers, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders and preparing sales reports. The Account Manager will work to expand the client list within the Southeast through new account acquisition. The Account Manager will respond to new client requests and identify new business opportunities throughout organizations AGT is not currently engaged with. In this role, you will liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service and System Engineering teams) to improve the entire customer experience. This position may require occasional travel.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

· Have excellent questioning techniques to fully understand the customer’s requirements.
· Have an understanding of the benefits audio-visual collaboration solutions being offered to customers.
· Basic understanding of corporate audio-visual, collaboration, and video conferencing environments preferred.
· Be able to overcome initial objections.
· Be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
· Keep management informed of all activity, including timely preparation of reports.
· Act as a bridge between Marketing and Sales. Be cognizant of each marketing initiative, and work toward corporate objectives.
· Must interact effectively with all levels of management and staff, internally and externally.
· Must be adaptable, professional, courteous and motivated, and must work well individually or as a member of a team.
· Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
· Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.
· Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors.
· Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
· Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
· Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas.
· Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).
· Prepare reports on account status.
· Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within assigned accounts.
· Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed.
· Have 1-3 years of account management experience in the audio-visual industry (Preferred).
· Have 1-3 years of account management experience in Commercial enterprises within the Southeast.
· Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role.
· Solid experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce, Zoho CRM or HubSpot) and MS Office (particularly MS Excel).
· Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs.
· Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Education:
· Bachelor’s degree with Marketing or Sales focus or equivalent work experience
· CTS audio visual certification preferred.
· Major Audio-Visual manufacturer sales certifications (ex: Crestron, AMX, Polycom, Cisco) preferred.
