We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Electronic Control Specialist, based out of one of the following locations, however, we are flexible: Winnipeg, Edmonton, or Greater Toronto Area.Job SummaryAs an Electronic Control Specialist in the Technical Services & Project Management Team, you will be leading our electronic control solutions for Integrated Solutions across Canada. This will include developing innovative motion control solutions, programming mobile displays, ECUs, Micro Controllers & other devices. The ideal candidate must be experienced, result driven and team focused.
Accountabilities

• Take ownership of the development of electronic control solutions from concept to completion
• Collaborate with teams across the organization, as well as vendors, to develop and deliver solutions to customers
• Create/ manage technical documents and files
• Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket troubleshooting
• Provide internal and external consultation on projects
• Utilize expertise of technology and applications to support sales growth
• Stay up to date on the latest technologies while looking for opportunities to enhance Applied’s product and service offerings
• Other tasks as required

Requirements And Competencies

• Mechanical Aptitude (P. ENG or CET in relevant discipline preferred)
• 5 years programming ECUs or Microcontrollers
• Extensive knowledge in programming (CoDeSys, Qt, C, C & CANBus)
• Understanding of electrical integration and development of wiring harnesses
• Exposure to mechanical and fluid power systems is an asset
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with many stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot on-site and remotely.
