In addition, Applied provides engineering, design and systems integration for industrial, fluid power, and flow control applications, as well as customized mechanical, fabricated rubber, fluid power, and flow control shop services. _ We are currently seeking and have an immediate opening for a qualified and motivated individual to fill the position of Electronic Control Specialist, based out of one of the following locations, however, we are flexible: Winnipeg, Edmonton, or Greater Toronto Area.Job SummaryAs an Electronic Control Specialist in the Technical Services & Project Management Team, you will be leading our electronic control solutions for Integrated Solutions across Canada. This will include developing innovative motion control solutions, programming mobile displays, ECUs, Micro Controllers & other devices. The ideal candidate must be experienced, result driven and team focused. Accountabilities
Take ownership of the development of electronic control solutions from concept to completion
Collaborate with teams across the organization, as well as vendors, to develop and deliver solutions to customers
Create/ manage technical documents and files
Provide support and expertise during project commissioning and aftermarket troubleshooting
Provide internal and external consultation on projects
Utilize expertise of technology and applications to support sales growth
Stay up to date on the latest technologies while looking for opportunities to enhance Applied’s product and service offerings
Other tasks as required
Requirements And Competencies
Mechanical Aptitude (P. ENG or CET in relevant discipline preferred)
5 years programming ECUs or Microcontrollers
Extensive knowledge in programming (CoDeSys, Qt, C, C & CANBus)
Understanding of electrical integration and development of wiring harnesses
Exposure to mechanical and fluid power systems is an asset
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects with many stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot on-site and remotely.
