Key Responsibilities:
Support RF&Plasma tool development/qualification and implementation in Plasma Enhanced CVD chambers for R&D and Production applications
Conduct experiments and characterizations of RF&Plasma systems and components at bench and tool levels using various instruments including Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzer, Plasma Probes, analog and digital data acquisition controllers.
Develop new methods to distribute RF through antennas and networks to ignite stable plasmas using different frequency and Generators.
Develop new RF&Plasma arc detection and diagnostic methods to be used in R&D and Production applications.
Work with Process Engineers and Field/Customer support teams to provide RF&Plasma support to quickly troubleshoot and resolve field/customer issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge in RF engineering, and Plasma physics with applications in CVD Chambers of low to high RF Power (0.1kW~100kW)
Solid background in RF power delivery, impedance matching, RF sensors, transmission line theory, electronic circuits, amplifiers, sensors etc.
Experience with high power RF component design/development
Detail oriented and with a strong emphasis on work safety
Experience with providing customer support and troubleshooting complex technical issues.
Good technical, presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge in following areas is a plus:
Experience with a wide range of plasmas (DC~MW, various pressure and gas conditions)
Knowledge of unique challenges in large area plasma production and the techniques used in the industry.
Knowledge in plasma diagnostics (Langmuir probes, optical diagnostic, microwave diagnostic etc.)
Knowledge in CVD technology, applications, and film metrology
Experience in mechanical design (manufacturability, mechatronics, material properties, vacuum systems, gas flow etc.)
Experience with system design and module integration on system level (PLCs, IoT, Edge, safety)
Knowledge in automated impedance matching techniques and algorithms when applied to unique requirements of plasma ignition/production.
Experience with microcontrollers, FPGAs, communication protocols etc.
Proficiency with statistical methods used in data analysis and performance qualification/evaluation.
Functional Knowledge:
Comfortable with RF measurements and tools of trade e.g. oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, multimeters, high-voltage probes etc
SW and simulation tools: Python, LTSPICE, Matlab, Inventor, MS Office, EM solvers etc.
Capable of unsupervised experiment design, data acquisition and analysis
Required Education:
MS or PhD in science or engineering areas with emphasis on high frequency electronics or plasma physics (preference to PhD)

**U.S. Salary Range:**
$120,000.00 - $165,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
