Position Description

As a Lead Cook in our corporate kitchen, you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:

• Execute the day to day demands of kitchen.
• Produce, assemble, label, distribute, and rotate in all offered products.
• Operate Clover Point of Sale (POS) program.
• Update menu items and process team member requests.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation per health code.
• Maintain work area and ensure it is clear of clutter.
• Consistently adhere to standardized recipes, portion control, and presentation, per approved guidelines.
• Ensure breakdown of station, including labeling and storing food in accordance with procedures at the end of shift.
• Assist in the daily delivery and pick-up of catering orders in various locations.
• Delegate tasks to fellow team members as needed and adapt to lead in a rapidly changing business environment.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• High school diploma.
• More than two years of restaurant, catering, or hotel experience.
• Possess advance knife handling skills and food knowledge.
• Knowledge of food displays and banquet set-up.
• Exemplary customer service skills.
• Cashier and front of the house experience.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while working under strict deadlines.
• Possess basic prep skills and some food knowledge.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and correspondence, including recipes, order sheets and schedules.
• Working knowledge of sanitation, cleanliness and safe food handling practices.
