The Position: We are looking for a candidate who will be performing the role of Logistics Fleet Management Subject Matter Expert (SME), supporting the Cargo Helicopter product office.

The Location: Redstone Arsenal, AL

The Work Environment: Hybrid

Requires the employee to work on-site at the government program office and or off-site at the approval of the Program Office. The employee may be required to walk short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.

The Description:

The candidate will provide advice, oversight, and assistance to various elements of the Cargo Program Managers Office (PMO) Fleet Management Division, DA components, and fully engages in the sustainment of the CH-47 Army aircraft. Applies principles of life cycle cradle to crave management, and as a component expert, considers equipment, conditions, planning and implementation of comprehensive DOD component logistics programs to include integration with environmental and safety requirements.

Candidate will apply existing knowledge in the following:

• Proficient with all current versions and verifications of Modifications Work Orders (MWO) technical procedures, modification kits, Technical Data Packages (TDP) and or Depot Maintenance Work Requirements (DMWR), review Engineer Change Proposals (ECP) and provide input on logistics safety.
• Provide analytic/logistic Support Equipment and Test, Measurement and Diagnostics Equipment (TMDE) expertise. Representative tasks include review and evaluate Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and Test Program Sets (TPS) software program plans and documents; provide functional recommendations for ATE/IPS hardware and software.
• Adept at reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, manufacturing plans, and wiring diagrams to identify system operation, troubleshoot, fault isolate, and repair avionics systems.
• Provide analytic/logistic experience to identify, plan, resource, and acquire facilities to enable training, maintenance, and storage.
• Knowledge of the various subject matter areas of publications regulations, principles, methods, and concepts; to include but not limited to acquisition strategies; target publications policy, regulations, specifications, standards, and practices; Continuous Acquisition and Life Cycle Support (CALS) standards and practices which include general digital technologies, and Integrated Product Support concepts.
• Organizes, directs, and manages the fleet management program, including procurement, maintenance, repair and operation, budget, cost allocation, and disposition of all CH-47 Cargo Helicopters.
• Utilize fleet management software to track performance metrics, maintenance schedules, and operational data.
• Establishes schedules and methods for the maintenance of the CH-47 fleet and implements policies and procedures.
• Ensure the fleet is prepared and available to meet operational demands, whether for training, deployment, or emergency response.
• Develops efficient methods of equipment utilization and allocation; reallocates equipment between units to ensure maximum utilization, productivity, and cost effectiveness.
• Develops and administers a comprehensive preventive maintenance and repair program for the CH-47 Cargo Office.
• Ensure all missions are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operational requirements.
• Assist in the management budget for fleet operations, including maintenance costs, fuel, and personnel expenses.

Education & Experience:

• Active DoD Secret Clearance, required.
• Bachelor's Degree with eight (8) years of related experience.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSITIUTIONS:
    • High School Diploma/GED with fourteen (14) years of related experience.

• Foreign Military Sales case experience.
• Manage and operate applicable automated databases.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Project, Excel, and Word.

Travel:

• On some occasions, the employee may be required to drive to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, travel may be required.
