In this role you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of submarine acoustic systems and directly contribute to the technical success of our programs through hands-on technical contributions, leadership and management of an engineering team To be considered, you will have a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or similar plus a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience. You will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the design and development of submarine acoustic systems and directly contribute to the technical success of our programs through hands-on technical contributions, leadership and management of an engineering team. Duties and Tasks:
-Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
-Performs technical activities which impact the proposal, system level design, detail design and manufacture of advanced electronics systems.
-Oversees operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
-Reviews project status and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports.
-Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
-Leads development of strategic tasks or small projects by applying engineering and organizational knowledge and expertise to achieve technical goals and objectives.
-Understands and interprets the technical, organizational and process aspects of the task assigned and can relate them to the technical needs of the overall large project.
-Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering tasks or small projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
-Actively uncovers technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans.
-Participates in engineering development of program strategies and teaming strategies as they relate to the assigned task.
-Drives continuous improvement throughout the group and processes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
-Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 10 years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.

-Ahead of technology trends with Research & Development (R&D) experience.
