We are looking for a Sourcing Contract Manager who will work under the direction of multiple Senior Managers across several categories covering current and new projects.

Location: Open to candidates in Alpharetta GA, Basking Ridge NJ, or Irving TX

Position: Sourcing Contract Manager

Pay: $40-50/hr. on W2 depending on years of experience

Duration: 12 months or longer

Note: 2 days per week in office every Tues and Thurs

Position Summary:

Engage with cross functional teams (CFTs) in determining the business and technical requirements and assist in drafting language to translate them into requirements for related documents (i.e., statements of work (SOW) and/or RFPs for distribution to the client’s contract managers and/or suppliers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead contract negotiations regarding business and pricing terms with suppliers.
• Learn the client’s sourcing policies and apply them effectively to assist business partners with the sourcing process.
• Conducts analysis of supplier proposals and present evaluation of responses to cross functional teams for consideration and selection.
• Monitor contracts that are reaching expiration and work with the business partners to take necessary action for renewal or termination.
• Monitor spend to ensure contract compliance and identify opportunities for savings.
• Stay current with industry trends for your category and become a trusted advisor to our business partners.
• Apply critical thinking and sound judgement to propose recommendations.
• Build collaborative relationships with our internal business partners as well as strategic relationships with our suppliers.

Must Have Skills:

• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Three or more years of Indirect Strategic Sourcing experience. Knowledge of HR, Financial Services, contact centers, outsourcing and travel a plus.
• Strong business acumen.
• Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong issue resolution, negotiation, and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Team player and leadership skills.
• Self-motivated /self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in influencing others.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in an evolving environment.
• Capability to solve problems to ensure business and financial issues result in sound recommendations.
• Experience with PowerPoint and Excel pivot tables.
• Experience in drafting and redlining contracts.
• Knowledge of basic information security and data privacy concepts (as they pertain to negotiating contracts).

Education/Certifications:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent advanced degree.
• Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) from the Institute of Supply Chain Management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
• Lean Six Sigma experience.
