A Data Management Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of data management projects within an organization. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to define project objectives, develop project plans, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. The Data Management Project Manager also plays a key role in identifying and mitigating risks, as well as managing project resources and stakeholders.

Position is contract to hire, must be able to relocate. US Citizen, GC, H1B

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Coordinate project activities, including requirements gathering, data analysis, and system design.
  • Manage project teams, including assigning tasks, tracking progress, and resolving issues.
  • Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
  • Collaborate with other project managers and teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including mentoring and coaching.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience managing data management projects, preferably in a large organization.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles and best practices.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and track project progress.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • PMP or similar project management certification preferred.
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies preferred.
