Job Title: Architect I Job Description As an Architect I, you will be a registered architectural professional tasked with generating and translating design concepts into final solutions as part of a multi-disciplinary project team. Under the supervision and mentorship of senior staff, you will develop design concepts and create accurate and complete documentation in all phases, adhering to established design principles, project budget, and schedule. This role involves preparing building models, detailed contract documents, coordinating technical design with other internal disciplines and outside consultants, and participating in the development of project specifications. You will attend site visits and meetings to expedite construction and resolve issues encountered in the field. Regular communication with senior staff to ensure document requirements are met prior to project delivery and final presentation is crucial. Additionally, you will utilize and promote the best use of design software/technology for presentation and production purposes and mentor less experienced staff.
Hard Skills - Architectural degree
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, BSD SpecLink
- Experience in designing commercial/industrial buildings and material handling clients
Soft Skills - Ability to hit the ground running
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Mentorship and support for less experienced staff
- Engagement with client representatives and leadership
Job Type This is a permanent position.
Work Site This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Charlotte, North Carolina and some days remote.
Work Environment This role is based in a modern business casual office with open workspaces for collaboration. The office features individual cubes and workspaces in the design area, fostering a collaborative atmosphere. The team size ranges from 6-8 members depending on the discipline, with the ability to work on up to 5 projects in different stages. Opportunities for permanent positions may arise for candidates pursuing or holding a master's degree.
