Aptive Resources Llc. is Hiring a CRNA - Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists Near Lebanon, PA
Aptive Resources is seeking a highly qualified Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at the VA Medical Center in Lebanon, PA. The selected candidate will provide comprehensive onsite Clinic and Surgical anesthesiology services to eligible beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role requires delivering high-quality anesthesia care that meets or exceeds national standards as established by the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Guidelines.
Regular Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
On-Call Coverage: CRNAs must be available for on-call during all hours when the facility clinic is closed, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
CRNA’s must be available at all times for phone consultations with VA providers and CRNAs. On-call providers must be available within 15 minutes by phone and on-site, within 60 minutes.
Primary Responsibilities
Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing various surgical procedures including general surgery, orthopedic (including joint replacement), plastic, ENT, urologic, podiatric, minor vascular, gynecology, endoscopy, dental/oral, and ophthalmologic operations.
Provide anesthesia coverage for patients in the surgical intensive care unit, short stay unit, and acute and chronic pain management services.
Perform diagnostic transesophageal echocardiography for medical and surgical patients.
Manage emergency airway situations and provide consultative services at the bedside for non-ambulatory patients and in the clinic setting for ambulatory patients.
Ensure anesthesia services are delivered according to the standards of care within a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility.
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any State, Territory, Commonwealth of the United States, or the District of Columbia. No history of license restriction, suspension, revocation, voluntary revocation, or voluntary surrender pending action. Including active and unrestricted DEA.
Certification: Board Certified/Board Eligible CRNA by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or equivalency.
Experience: Technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements. Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English fluently.
Credentialing and Privileging: Compliance with VHA Directives 1100.20 and 1100.21. Must obtain approval by the Facility Medical Executive Board and Medical Center Director before providing services.
Continuing Education: Maintain up-to-date continuing education courses as required for certification. Provide documentation verifying current certification annually.
Training: Completion of all VA educational and mandatory course requirements, including ACLS, BLS, EHR, and any other training as required by the VA.
