Primary Responsibilities
- Perform routine and complex laboratory tests on a variety of biological specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.
- Analyze and interpret test results to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients.
- Ensure accurate documentation and timely reporting of laboratory findings.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Adhere to quality control procedures to maintain laboratory standards.
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with medical technology advancements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field.
- Graduation from a medical technology program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Science (NAACLS).
- Current certification/registration with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologist (AMT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Technologist within the past five years.
