The Hollow Metal Purchasing Agent will also be responsible for ensuring stock inventory levels are accurate and kept at appropriate usage levels. The Hollow Metal Purchasing Agent is responsible and accountable for:
Replenishment buying and creating purchase orders
Working with the sales staff to order nonstock items as required
Ensuring all products assigned to you are properly and timely ordered to ensure adequate stock levels are kept at all times
Participating in all cycle and yearend inventory counts
Maintaining a professional and positive working relationship with all coworkers and vendors
Consulting with your manger before bringing in new products or discontinuing current stock items
Communicating with vendors to resolve any errors and return good authorizations
Reviewing acknowledgements and invoices as required for accuracy
Working with your manger and IT to maintain proper discounts and pricing within any necessary programs
Working with accounting and Sales to ensure customer returns are processed in a timely and accurate manner
Participating in ongoing product and technology development
Attending all meetings as requested or required
Accomplishing any other special projects and duties as assigned
Essential Functions
Inventory, supply chain, and accounting functions
Manage great relationships with vendors and coworkers
Software use to include Opening Suite and Microsoft Office
Purchasing, writing and understanding POs, and ordering
Great working knowledge of hollow metal
Experience & Other Requirements
3 years of relevant experience preferred
Pre-employment background and drug screening
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with Opening Suite and Door Hardware Industry Preferred
