Traffic Control Flaggers are critical members of the construction industry that ensures the safety and protection of motorists, pedestrians and the crews working in the work zone.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Set up construction zones with proper safety equipment including maintaining, and removing temporary work zones including warning signs, traffic cones, stop slow paddles, and rumble strips.
• Communicate to ensure that motorists and pedestrians do not interfere with or pose a danger to Crews and their projects.
• Guide traffic/pedestrians’ safely through and around the work area
• Maintain a safe and orderly work zone
• Effectively communicate with your team to keep everyone informed and safe

WHAT IS REQUIRED:

• Valid Driver's License
• Pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record check
• Must be able and comfortable in working in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to kneel, bend, squat while transferring up to 40 lbs. of equipment
• Must be punctual and able to maintain a regular, dependable attendance record
• Must be able to work variable hours, which may include weekends, overtime, and various shift work (Extended shifts are common 5-6 day workdays weekly)
• Must be willing to travel (hotel accommodation/ Per Diem will be provided)

Experience and License Requirements

• 1 Year of traffic control experience
• Valid driver's license
• Pass a pre-employment drug, background, and driving record check
• Flagger licensed
• Have access to reliable transportation!
