Aqua Tech Pool Management is Hiring a JR. REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS Near Raleigh, NC

Job DescriptionRegional Operations Directors are responsible for maintaining a region of around 15 pool facility clients by leveraging effective communication with customers and ensuring a smooth and successful operation. The Jr. Regional Director of Operations role is designated as a training role to shadow our Director of Operations in order to further prepare our company for growth! Previous experience in this field is not required to apply.
Responsibilities:
AquaTech is a seasonal pool management group providing full-service for neighborhood & community pools, as well as private associations and country clubs. Given the seasonal nature of the business, the Regional Operation Director’s responsibilities will differ depending on the time of year.
General:
  • Ensure the operations and overall success at pools/pods within region of responsibility (about 15 facilities)
  • serve as primary contact for customers (HOA, property managers, etc.)
    • complete at least 1 pre-season discussion of expectations
    • provide ongoing updates related to operations, staffing, etc.
    • facilitate repair needs with repair team, provide customers updates
  • Manage Product & Loss evaluations & decision making for region
  • oversee team of openers to prepare facilities for inspections & operation and seasonal area manager(s)
  • Oversee facilities’ needs regarding repair & renovation, including basic sales components, including completing annual facility assessments.
  • work with personnel directors to ensure all staff members are meeting AquaTech’s standards of performance facility-specific expectations.
  • Publish leadership schedule for self & seasonal area manager(s) to ensure appropriate daily oversight of facilities within region of responsibility
  • required to hold valid certifications for Lifeguarding, First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer
Work Schedule:
  • Hours Requirements: 40-45 hours per week
  • Location: During pre-season preparation period & operating season, a majority of shifts will be “in field” overseeing operations. Weekly meetings and off-season office-based shifts will be completed at AquaTech’s Charlotte Office.
  • Work schedule will depend on seasonal requirements and will be coordinated to ensure proper coverage of area of responsibility with Regional Personnel Managers & seasonal area managers. Evenings and weekends are expected during pre-season training period & during the operating season (May-September).

Please note this position is "in training", candidates are to expect roughly 8-10 months of training prior to being assigned their full region. During the training period you will be working directly with the Director of Operations and will assist in managing roughly 5-8 accounts. Candidates will also have periods where they will shadow other Regional Directors of Operations to garner a better understanding of day to day operations in different areas while learning different tips and tricks that others find helpful.
RequirementsQualified applicants should hold or be able to obtain a valid certification for Lifeguarding, CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and First Aid through the American Red Cross or comparable provider.
One to three year(s) of supervisory or managerial experience is recommended.
One to three year(s) year of lifeguard or aquatics operations experience is recommended.
One to three year(s) year budget/profit & loss experience is recommended.
Current Certified Pool Operator certification is recommended.
