Seeking an Application Security Engineer for a contract-to-hire role, with a hybrid setup requiring onsite presence in Atlanta (30342) three days per week.

Responsibilities include conducting vulnerability scans, reviewing and triaging flaws using Veracode, identifying and resolving software defects, ensuring the security of web and mobile applications, performing threat assessments, and creating model diagrams.

Ideal candidates will have prior experience in application security engineering, particularly with customer-facing software applications, and demonstrate leadership or project delegation skills.

Proficiency with Azure cloud is essential, as the environment is predominantly Azure-based, with plans to expand into Google Cloud Platform/AWS.

Prior experience with application security testing using DAST and SAST tools, especially within a Veracode environment, is highly desirable.

Additionally, a background in development and proficiency in programming languages is advantageous, as the role involves close collaboration with development teams.

Most qualified candidates will maintain one or more of certifications in cloud security, Information Security, Software Development, SecOps, and Application Security.
