Aquinas Consulting is looking to fill a full-time Sr. Network Engineer job in the Providence, RI area. Candidates can work REMOTELY, but must be within an hour of Providence for occasional on-site meetings/tasks. This job is available with the largest healthcare provider in the state. In this role, you will work under the direction of the Manager of Network Engineering and general supervision of senior staff and will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation and operational management of the enterprise unified communications infrastructure and systems.

Sr. Network Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Act as Subject Matter Expert on a team of 10
• Provide Coaching and Guidance to internal teams
• Provide Technical Leadership
• Provide support to KLO (Keep the Lights On) duties, but primarily focus on Project work (including Cloud transition and Network Switches Upgrade)
• On-call (about 10%) rotation

Sr. Network Engineer Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, IS, or related field preferred. Advanced degree a plus.
• Knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routing/switching architectures, network security, virtualization, and IP Telephony.
