The Shipping Supervisor is a critical member of our leadership team, directly supporting our shipping & QC associates to meet and exceed daily operational goals, build associate engagement, and drive a culture that promotes safety and a customer-first mentality.

Responsibilities

· Execution of existing, and creation of new, Shipping SOPs

· Personal and team execution of all safety policies, including PPE expectations

· Promptly reporting all workplace accidents and incidents, and the timely completion of accident investigations

· Responsible for building security

· Ensure Shipping Department cleanliness standards and 5S expectations are maintained at all times

· Ensure that Team Members are performing their work efficiently and at expected pace

· Ensure that all forklift operations complete daily equipment checklist to ensure the fitness of their equipment

· Training and development of team members

· Process transfer orders to other company sites

· Perform process audits to ensure that the Shipping Team is correctly performing SOPs with a high degree of quality and safely

· Assist Inventory Control team in the timely resolution of inventory discrepancies

· Cross-train Team to support other aspects of the operations as business needs change

· Willing and able to assist in all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, Putaway, picking, shipping, and operating forklifts and other PIT equipment in order to meet our Company’s same-day-shipping guarantee

· Proficient with Microsoft Office

· Excellent written and oral communication skills

· Ability to work independently and make decisions based upon available data

Qualifications

· Minimum of 5 years distribution operations management, or a combination of education and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume package and SKU picking environment, distributing food and general merchandise to a retail marketplace, utilizing advanced software/technologies, preferably RF applications.

· The ideal candidate must be willing to assist in all functions in the warehouse, including operation of material handling equipment, order pulling, scanning, stocking and packaging.

· Must have extensive experience utilizing ERP/WMS systems to maximize automation and must be able to be a resource for systems related issues/questions.

· Excellent proficiency in computer skills, specifically: Excel, Word, Power Point, Project and software systems supporting a wholesale/retail environment.

· Demonstrated success leading and motivating teams with the ability to develop and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.

· Budget planning and control experience.
