What You'll Be Doing
Management of a kitchen, or team within a kitchen, to ensure tasks are appropriately allocated and team members are fully utilised
Lead team to use best practice Food Production techniques in line with Aramark standard recipes, systems and brand standards
Direct and coach team members to learn procedures and standards for all kitchen tasks, ensuring all training and development needs are met
Assists with performance monitoring, record keeping, recruitment and development for direct reports
Determine the food offer to ensure it meets customers’ demands and is profitable
Handle customer complaints
Ensure complete compliance of team with food safety and health and safety legislation and in line with Aramark standards
Report any incidents, near misses and health & safety issues to Unit Manager
Responsible for shift opening and closing checklists
Maintain good working relationships with all other members of the team
Undertake relevant training as required
Place orders as required
Carry out stock takes as required
Experience
Previous culinary experience(2-3 years) within catering or retail
