ARAUCO - North America is Hiring a Reliability Technician Near Moncure, NC

How does this role fit into the success of our organization?
  • Provide technical resources and field service in the areas of vibration analysis, machine balancing, infra-red scanning, NDT, shaft alignment, lubrication, and ultra-sonic analysis.
  • Identify machine deficiencies through condition monitoring and leads the process of risk assessment and control in these areas.
  • Support commissioning and start-up of new or rebuilt equipment through acceptance and baseline testing.
  • Inputs corrective work orders into SAP for identified machine deficiencies.
  • Promotes accurate PdM/PM practices, standards, and continuous improvement in the core areas of responsibility.
  • Publish monthly summary and risk management vibration reports.
  • Participates in down day/shutdown work planning by providing priority updates, procedure details, and scheduling considerations for work identified as PdM/PM follow-ups.
What are we looking for?
  • Knowledgeable
    • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
    • Knowledge of non-destructive testing and inspection procedures
  • Experienced
    • Millwright experience
    • Vibration analysis knowledge and experience
    • Field balancing experience preferred
    • Excellent mechanical skills
  • Effective
    • Ability to identify and correct improper machine alignment with laser alignment equipment
    • Good recordkeeping and documentation practices
    • Intermediate computer skills in SAP, MS Excel, MS Word
    • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with people to problem solve, coach and plan
    • High attention to detail and belief in continuous improvement
