ARAUCO - North America is Hiring a Summer Hire Near Malvern, AR
Primary PurposeSupport mill operations through housekeeping, maintenance support, and vacation coverage for operational roles.
Description Of Essential Duties
Description Of Essential Duties
- Execute required housekeeping and clean-up based on defined cleaning schedules
- Participate in recovery of upset conditions to return mill and/or equipment to established standards.
- Identify and communicate potential opportunities to engineer out chronic housekeeping issues
- Identify and pursue opportunities to reduce clean up time on repetitive tasks through improved procedures and equipment
- Monitor waste bins and contact designated personnel when full
- Execute general labor as required. Includes but is not limited to: painting, fire watch for hot work, and attendant for confined space
- Responsible for running sweeper truck daily over all paved surfaces
- Provide accurate and detailed reports as necessary
- Provide coverage to operational roles as necessary
- Ability to operate Forklift, Sweeper, and Front end loader
- Keep Line #1 and Line #2 press pits clean
- Clean Ditches and other environmental areas clean
- Keep material piles picked up and tail rolls clean at RMS
- Clean piles on the production lines when needed
- Keep outside area of Mill free of fiber piles
- Keep the upper levels of the outside equipment clean
- Provide support during Maintenance day activities. Fire watch, clean-up or working in baghouses.
- Wear proper PPE at all times as required.
- Be lock-out certified for the area
- Ensure control room/area remains neat and clean.
- Be aware of all personnel working in the area
- Ensure Arauco exercises responsible environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.
- Complete LASER for any upset condition or procedure
- Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime
- Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program
- Report all safety incidents (including near misses)
- Know location of all fire equipment and how to use it
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
- Two years industrial experience preferred
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook preferred
