Job Description

As the HSE Manager, you will be responsible for functional leadership and direct supervision of the HSE team across the Western Gas Region for ARB Underground. As the regional leader and subject matter expert in HSE, this position drives implementation and maintenance of the HSE Management System and ensures compliance with regulatory and company standards. This role also provides tactical HSE guidance and talent management of the HSE team and works with operational leadership to deliver continuous improvement in HSE performance. This is a full-time, permanent position, located in Ventura, CA. performs construction services on transmission pipelines and is part of the Utility Segment of Primoris

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to Federal, State & local regulations and conformance to HSE Management System and program requirements.
  • Responsible for direct supervision of HSE staff, ensuring effective field engagement, training, development, coaching, and mentoring for talent management.
  • Analyze HSE trends and develop strategic action plans with Operations Leaders to support continuous improvement of HSE performance.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for regulators, clients, and sub-contractors concerning HSE- related issues.
  • Provide support in the development and distribution of HSE-related data for bid packages
  • Support Business Development and Commercial functions in the pursuit of new projects/work through the creation of HSE documentation and attending high-level customer visits where
  • Develop and deliver HSE-related reports, presentations, and/or training as
  • Assists in incident investigations, HSE inspections, audits, and hazard
  • Facilitate working groups for HSE systems improvement and special
  • Participate as a member of the Utilities Segment HSE community and drive standardization across assigned region.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
  • 5-10 years of industry relevant HSE experience
  • Must hold or be working toward professional certifications, g., PMP, CSP, CIH, CHMM, REM, etc.
  • Detailed understanding of Federal, State, and local regulatory
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving
  • Excellent organizational and project management
  • Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing
  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and project management across multiple
  • Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills, strong relationship builder, solid influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to coach at multiple levels of an
  • Must be able to work with a diverse interdisciplinary team to develop improved work
  • Experience managing multiple projects
  • Experience setting goals and timelines for multiple
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience developing and implementing Enterprise-level HSE programs and procedural
  • Experience assessing and auditing compliance with HSE Management System
  • Experience coordinating or leading investigations and performing root cause
  • Experience with Incident Management System or Enterprise Risk Management
  • Experience working with Intelex, SAP, Power BI, or similar data
  • Exceptional business acumen, writing skills, and verbal communication
  • Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational
  • Expertise in technical/professional
  • Have or working towards a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt

Salary Range $100K - $135K. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
