Position

We are searching for a Personal Clothing Attendant (Laundry) to join our team! The Personal Clothing Attendant (Laundry) will perform laundry duties for Environmental Services in the cleaning of clothes and linens for residents, Health Care and Arbor Acres.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Primarily responsible for the processing of personal clothing items from residents in the Arbor Acres Health Care Community. This includes retrieving soiled clothing items, washing, and drying the items and delivering the items accurately to the correct resident.

2. Ensures that clothing, linen and/or terry is properly separated into different classifications.

3. Uses proper personal protective equipment when caring for soiled laundry.

4. Folds, processes and delivers clean clothing from laundry to residents in the Arbor Acres Health Care Community. Additional responsible for assisting with the processing of linen and terr.

Typical Physical Demands

1. Ability to stand for long periods of time, walk extensively, to squat, bend, kneel, and reach above shoulders.

2. Ability to lift approximately 30 lbs. of linen.

3. Needs sense of sight, hearing, smell and touch.

4. Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemical and tolerate the presence of dust.

5. Must be able to successfully complete the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program. This program assists in determining whether applicants/employees are able to safely perform essential job functions.

Minimum Education

1. High School or equivalent.
