**Job Summary:** We are seeking a dedicated Certified Peer Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide peer support services to individuals with behavioral health challenges, offering guidance and assistance based on their own lived experiences. **Responsibilities:** - Utilize crisis management techniques to assist individuals in managing challenging situations - Provide behavioral health support through active listening and empathy - Apply motivational interviewing techniques to encourage positive behavior change - Offer mentoring and guidance to individuals seeking help with various issues - Conduct crisis intervention when necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of clients - Collaborate with support systems to create comprehensive care plans - Provide addiction counseling and support for individuals struggling with substance abuse - Utilize knowledge of social work and mental health counseling principles in daily interactions **Requirements:** - Certification as a Peer Specialist - Proficiency in crisis management, behavioral health, motivational interviewing, mentoring, and crisis intervention - Experience in addiction counseling, social work, or mental health counseling is preferred - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a team environment - Compassionate and non-judgmental approach towards individuals seeking support This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
