Seeking part-time Substance Use Counselor for ARC Dayton, a DHS 75.54 licensed residential substance use treatment program for women.

ARC uses a strengths-based, cognitive-behavioral, gender responsive, and relational model to help women make durable life changes.

Responsibilities:

Oversight of medicaid substance abuse treatment clients including the following responsibilities:

• Screen clients to determine eligibility and appropriateness for our services
• Maintain the client wait list for Medicaid placement (MAXIMUM capacity of 4 women)
• Complete substance use assessments utilizing ASAM
• Complete Medicaid Initial Prior Authorizations and Amendments
• Formulate and implement comprehensive substance use treatment plans
• Individual substance abuse counseling and relapse prevention planning weekly
• Meet with Clinical Supervisor to review client treatment plans, continuing care plans, diagnosis, and medication
• Prepare Intake and Discharge Reports
• Maintain a safe, empowering environment for our resilient women

Qualifications:

Must be certified as a substance abuse counselor-in training, substance use counselor or licensed as a mental health professional.

Bachelor, MSW or related advanced degree preferred; work experience is given consideration

KNOWLEDGE OF MEDICAID IS A PLUS!!

Knowledge of women’s pathways to, and patterns of, substance use disorders
