SUMMARY:

Event Coordinators help our Guest’s plan memorable birthday and event experiences, by creating a vision of FUN! As an Event Coordinator, you will partner with our Guests to create a tailored and memorable experience based on their needs. You’re also dedicated to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Understanding all aspects of our event packages, and add-ons.
  2. Host special events; manage your team of event hosts; oversee all setup of appropriate areas.
  3. Selling, scheduling and coordinating corporate, group, and birthday events.
  4. Utilizing systems and programs to input sales revenue, guest information, and create follow up tasks related to the business.
  5. To exceed budgeted birthday, group and event sales targets.
  6. Prospecting and cold calling to develop ongoing relationships for new and repeat business.
  7. Supporting local store marketing initiatives to drive walk-in and event sales
  8. Attending and engaging in weekly sales meetings to share strategic ideas that support the business.
  9. Performing opening, mid-day or closing duties
  10. Effectively communicates with bar, kitchen and janitorial staff while maintaining business relationships.
  11. Ability to treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction, always striving to exceed their expectations; ability to resolve minor issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
  12. Consistently observant for completed orders, guests wishing to place an order and open tables; actively tracks all open, clean, dirty and occupied tables.
  13. Maintains, cleans, organizes and stocks remote serving counters.
  14. Be available to work varying shifts, from weekends to holidays, in addition to extended workdays as needed by your center.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Consistently assist, work with and train consumers with intellectual, medical and/or physical disabilities with understanding and with the utmost confidentiality.
  2. Promotes a better, more cooperative working atmosphere by maintaining a safe, hazard free work environment by adhering to Cal OSHA and ADA requirements; following all regulations for safety as required by the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP).
  3. Maintains a harmonious, pleasant and positive work environment as possible by following established standards for preventing undesirable conduct, including but not limited to discrimination, sexual harassment and alcohol/substance abuse.
  4. Represents the organization in a positive and professional manner.
  5. Follow personnel policies closely.
  6. Foster cooperative staff relationships and effective teamwork.
  7. Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the work load, as assigned by the CFO or Chief Executive Officer (CEO).


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have Food Handler’s Card and Health Card

T.I.P.S. Certification (to be completed during probationary period)

California Driver’s License; clean DMV report

Background Check

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior restaurant and/or cocktail server experience (2-3 years)

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, write and speak fluently in English; bi-lingual preferred (English & Spanish)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

A restaurant/bowling alley and entertainment environment. Work stations may experience drafts due to its location by the automatic doors with medium to loud noise levels. Party Hosts are constantly standing, walking, bending, stretching, carrying trays with multiple items. Hazards may include, but are not limited to slipping, tripping, spilling trays, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is estimated percentage of daily physical requirements and/or number of pounds that my need to belated on the job, include: 100% standing and/or walking during entire shift; 75% reaching, bending and stooping; 50% carries 20-30lbs over medium distance (20-30 feet) and long distance (30-60 feet); 100 % verbally communications with guests and staff.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide within all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent. Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
