Arc Of Putnam County Inc is Hiring a Grants Coordinator Near Palatka, FL

The Grants Coordinator works collaboratively as part of the Administrative Team to support the mission of The Arc of Putnam County, Inc. by being responsible for identifying and applying for various grants that meet the organization’s needs, overseeing the grant application processes, identifying and organizing the various grant requirements and deliverables, and reporting. This position requires a clear communicator, both written and verbal, organized with effective time management skills, demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt, with the highest standards of behavior, collaborative manner, and work ethic.
This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. This is an in-person position.

Qualifications, Experience, and Abilities:
  • As a prerequisite, the successful candidate must believe in the core values and philosophy of The Arc of Putnam County, Inc. and be driven by the mission of the organization with a commitment to working with persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • At least three years of experience in grant writing experience highly preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of local, state, and federal funding sources and the ability to locate potential sources for funding.
  • Thorough understanding of grant funding policies and procedures and applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of effective grant writing techniques.
  • Extremely organized and meticulous with details.
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to interpret financial data and prepare budgets and financial grant reports.
  • Ability to be discreet with personal information that may be needed for some grants such as employee salaries or upcoming projects.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional boundaries
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with demanding and competing deadlines, superior organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a quality workplace in a diverse, fast-paced, stressful, and changing environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Demonstrates professional development by participating in and seeking out higher-level, innovative training opportunities
  • Ability and willingness to perform light housekeeping and occasional lifting to 30 pounds independently
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude, self-motivation, organization, and resourcefulness while maintaining a reputation through proven action of being team and client-oriented and willing to assist where/when needed
  • Ability to negotiate different personalities and work under competing priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel required. Experience with other applications as well as experience using and entering data into HMIS or other client databases preferred
  • Must pass Level II background check
  • Must pass a drug screen
  • Must be prompt and dependable
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Research various types of grants available and the criteria to qualify for each as directed.
  • Discusses available sources of funding with the Chief Executive Officer.
  • Compiles necessary information for the application process.
  • Drafts and completes grant applications according to application requirements.
  • Ensures grant is submitted on time and within application parameters.
  • Completes all documents, forms, or reports required by the grant.
  • Prepares detailed reports of deliverables and requirements needed to satisfy each grant contract.
  • Develops and maintains master files on grants and paperwork connected to programs funded by grants.
  • Assures implementation and adherence to personnel practices in areas assigned that conform to established policies
  • Assist the Chief Executive Officer with timely submittal of monthly reports and billing for compliance with all grants and contracts to funding sources
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
