Arcadis has been selected by the Gateway Development Commission (GDC) to serve as a Project Delivery Partner (PDP) in connection with the Hudson Tunnel Project (HTP). We are seeking to engage with potential new colleagues who are excited by this opportunity and who would like to join our locally based teams in New York and in New Jersey. We are seeking an Accounting Analyst to support the program.

Role description:
As an Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for recording and reporting financial data, providing support to the GDC management team, accurately recording, and reporting general ledger activity. Will report directly to the Director of General Ledger and Financial Reporting.
Role accountabilities:

• Maintain the general ledger accounting with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Prepare reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and review data for accuracy.
• Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank account and investment statements.
• Prepare monthly expense and revenue accruals in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with Balance Sheet preparation and Monthly Account reconciliations.
• Maintain and update the Fixed Assets spreadsheet.
• Review cash deposits and prepare cash receipt journal entries.
• Distribute monthly financials and assist with financial audits.
• Assist in automating processes and procedures to improve efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred.
• 10 years of general ledger experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with Oracle accounting applications.
• Strong analytical skills and evaluation techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $150,000.
