ARCare is Hiring a Director of Transportation Near Paducah, KY

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director of Transportation provides direct oversight for planning, implementation and evaluation of the transportation services including, but not limited to: van/driver schedule, bi-weekly timecards, van maintenance, manage duties of transportation staff, deposits and monthly total updates. In addition, they are responsible for weekly sliding fee audits for KentuckyCare/MississippiCare and front office education when needed for improvement. The Director of Transportation ensures the systematic and coordinated delivery of services and will be the liaison for implementation to all KentuckyCare clinics. This position is responsible for supporting and maintaining work operations for all transportation activities by following policies and procedures, reporting compliance issues, and maintaining quality results.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Directs the operation and progression of transportation program.
  • Identify program participants from internal and external referrals.
  • Manage schedule appointments and assist with internal
  • Educate internal staff and support the Transportation
  • Collaborate with various Company stakeholders as well as outside
  • Provides direction for the selection and ongoing review to ensure department staff are meeting the needs of the target population.
  • Develops and directs the implementation of annual program evaluation plan and performance improvement
  • Participates in the center’s quality improvement activities and performs duties in accordance with applicable
  • Tracks the success of quality
  • Collaborate with staff and providers to determine process changes aimed at streamlining productivity.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with community groups, payors, and potential referral
  • Coordinates and supports the efforts of scheduling needs.
  • Communicates with staff through verbal or written reports to keep staff current of patient progress/needs/concerns.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High School education required. Four-year degree preferred.

Experience: At least four years of management experience preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Word and Excel; and customized software. Ability to learn and adapt to changing technologies as the organization changes.

Certifications & Licenses: CPR Training within 4 weeks of start date, maintained in compliance as required thereafter.

Other Requirements

Ability to relate with consideration and effectiveness to the staff of ARcare, prospective employees, and external agencies and persons with whom this department interacts. Ability to facilitate training in a classroom and one-on-one training. Able to relate with consideration and effectiveness to patients and employees.
