POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Clinic Manager works as part of the clinic provider team and assists in the delivery and oversite of all health services. This role is responsible for the clinical and operational staff located in each assigned clinic/region, from hiring to performance coaching to termination. Overall, the Regional Clinic Manager is instrumental to ensuring each clinic operates efficiently, delivers high-quality patient care.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Assists providers in healthcare activities, if licensed, performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures, and the administration of medications as necessary.
  • Guides and directs the activities of the nursing staff and operational staff and other appropriate members of the team; is the manager/leader of the staff in assigned clinics and is responsible for performance evaluations, discipline as needed, supervision of direct care services provided by staff.
  • Provides education/in-services to staff as appropriate
  • Assist personnel in laboratory, radiology and patient education procedures.
  • Maintains current knowledge of immunization protocols as outlined by the Arkansas department of Health.
  • Help coordinate any community service functions.
  • Participates in the center’s quality improvement activities and performs duties in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Assists in training staff regarding their participation in quality improvement activities of the organization
  • Assists in special projects as directed.
  • Promotes customer-driven excellence as a driver of organizational services.
  • Oversees patient-centered care that incorporates culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
  • Educate patients about health maintenance activities, adoption of healthy behaviors, and support services available in the community.
  • Communicate with patients and families about health care issues and the importance of developing self- management goals and healthy behaviors.
  • Assist in coordinating seamless transitions of patient care across multiple care settings by using combined expertise of care team members.
  • Employ active listening techniques during interactions with patients, families, and team members.
  • Utilize quality data to identify process changes that will improve individual patient and population management.
  • Use health information systems efficiently to manage and improve care at the individual and system levels and ensure the delivery of timely and accurate information.
  • Participate in team huddles.
  • Travel to assigned locations to attend/host staff meetings.
  • Incorporate quality indicators for specific disease states and /or patient variables into patient care plans.
  • Ability to cover, if licensed, as a care team member.
  • Ability to cover staff duties in the absence of staff.
  • Manage staff schedules for clinical and operational staff located at assigned clinics.
  • Assist with referrals.
  • Ensure clinics are following Purchase Cycle Guidelines, reviewing and approving requests in a timely manner.
  • Monitor MedTrainer/Compliance assignments for completion of all staff.
  • Perform weekly/monthly chart audits as assigned.
  • Attend all QC meetings monthly or if deemed more frequently.
  • Audit medication rooms.
  • Follow up with organization review team findings to ensure compliance.
  • Inventory BioMedical equipment quarterly.
  • Review and approve time cards, reimbursement requests, and time off/medication requests promptly.
  • Other duties may be assigned

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Experience: At least one year of experience in a medical setting required.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to learn additional software used by business. Able to navigate an electronic medical record efficiently and flexibility to change as technology changes.

Certificates & Licenses: Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse preferred. CPR training at hire date and annually thereafter. CPR instructor certification within 24 months of employment.
